Broken Bones Whisky is made from the finest blends of barley malt, yeast, and water. After a slow double distillation, it is carefully matured in a selected combination of barrels made from Slovenian and American oak, which give it a distinct, floral, and full flavor. It is not cold filtered. No added colorings.

When Borut called Boštjan in 2012 and suggested that they join forces and make a Slovenian whisky that could compete with the best Scottish whiskies, they had a long journey of education, research, experimentation and development ahead of them. First, they decided on the style of whisky, designed and hand-made the pot still, chose the malt, yeast, size and type of barrels... Then came the period of aging in various combinations of Slovenian and American barrels, testing and developing the drink. On 13. 7. 2016, while distilling the whisky, they ensured that our distillery got its name, as Boštjan broke his leg and Borut broke his nose a few days later. It took another year for the plan to produce the whisky they wanted to be perfect!
