The Kunej family, active in grape growing and producing premium wines since 1886, is deeply rooted in tradition. Their story is intertwined with the vineyards in Sremič, where their old cottage stands, once home to their most precious wines.
Despite challenges such as wars, political changes and economic crises, they have remained true to their mission. They recently decided to take a bold step - cutting down lower-quality vineyards and planting new ones in selected locations in Sremič, which has strengthened their connection to the land.
In modern times, the young owner Aleš, together with his wife Emanuela, directs the farm towards the development of viticulture, winemaking and the production of chocolate products. Aleš's parents, Lojze and Danica, are still actively involved, contributing their knowledge and experience.
Every glass of their wine and every chocolate praline carries a story of dedicated hands and love for work. With their dedication to tradition and at the same time an eye on the future, they continue the path outlined by their great-great-grandfather Anton, and proudly build a bridge between the past and the present.
