THE AUTHOR ABOUT HERSELF:
Hi! :) My name is Ana Kristanc and I'm a foodie. I admit it! If you ever see a girl at the market jumping from one stall to another like a 5-year-old girl in a Barbie store, then it's definitely me. Ever since I was a child, I've loved cooking and eating good food. As a child, I was happiest when there was a family celebration on the menu. Happy because I knew that there would be lots of good, home-cooked food and there's no better feeling than sharing really good food with good company. That's what I call quality calorie burning. ;)
If someone had asked me at 18 what I wanted to do for a living when I grew up, my answer would definitely not have been cooking. Honestly, how many people at that age know what they want to do for the rest of their lives? And it's a good thing I decided to study law, because it led me to the realization that cooking is what I really want to do for the rest of my life. You're probably wondering how law and cooking go together? It's completely simple. My chosen degree didn't allow me to be creative (non-stop nerding out), so I devoted all my creative energy to creating in the kitchen.
I discovered that there is no better feeling in the world than seeing a smile or satisfaction on the face of the person I cook or bake for. So I decided to share my tried and tested recipes with others and started writing this blog. But since I was cooking in my parents' kitchen at the time, my cooking went like this – I open the fridge the night before, then think out loud all night about various combinations of ingredients (and thus get my boyfriend to get his beauty sleep) and the next day I test if my ideas can work in reality. The results have been quite promising so far.
