Diseases of cattle and small livestock
The book addresses the most important diseases of cattle and sheep: metabolic diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, infectious diseases, hoof diseases, parasitic diseases, poisoning.
Special attention is given to the health care of newborn ruminants, as young animals are an investment for the future for the breeder. We learn about biosecurity measures that prevent the introduction of infectious diseases into the breeding. Measures for prevention are always listed as it is much better to prevent diseases than to treat them. The book will be helpful to all breeders and students of agricultural sciences. Authors: Dr. Jožica Ježek and Dr. Jože Starič are lecturers at the University of Ljubljana and the University of Maribor, and the text has also been reviewed by the reviewers: Dr. Martina Klinkon, Dr. Primož Klinc.
