Beletrina, a publishing house, is a prestigious Slovenian publisher that was established more than 25 years ago as a Student Publishing House. Beletrina is known for its outstanding literary and humanities book program, which includes both classics and the most prominent contemporary authors. Under its auspices, the literary collection Beletrina and the humanities collection Koda are created, and it also publishes special book editions.
Beletrina actively contributes to the preservation of living literature through two major festivals: the World Literature Festival – Fabula and the Days of Poetry and Wine. These festivals bring top literary guests from around the world to Slovenia every year and attract numerous visitors. Beletrina also strives to present Slovenian literature abroad, as many of their authors are translated into various languages and often perform at international events.
Beletrina also performs successfully in the digital field. Their cultural portal AirBeletrina is the most read cultural medium in Slovenia. In addition, they offer more than seven thousand titles of e-books in the largest digital library Biblos, and the number is constantly increasing.
In Ljubljana, at Stari trg 3, there is the boutique bookstore Beletrina, where you can find their books, selected books from other publishers, and works by Slovenian authors in foreign languages.
Beletrina is more than just a publishing house – it is a living organism that passionately creates books and literary projects, with the desire to enrich the lives of as many people as possible.
