About the product: True wormwood (Artemisia absinthium L.) is a medicinal plant that has been used for a long time to alleviate problems. Ancient Greeks used true wormwood to treat worms, Native Americans used it to treat colds and bronchitis, and Chinese people used dried wormwood leaves to stop nosebleeds. True wormwood, which comes from Eastern Europe and Central Asia, is used in our environment in creams, teas, and liqueurs to alleviate stomach, liver, and gallbladder problems.
True wormwood, with the help of bitters and essential oil, stimulates appetite and aids digestion. Bitters stimulate appetite, increase the secretion of digestive juices, strengthen stomach and intestinal movement, and thus improve digestion. It also acts as a carminative (aids digestion), choleretic (promotes the formation and flow of bile), and spasmodic (relieves cramps).
We soak leafy shoots and basal leaves in Kartuzija Pleterje fruit brandy and leave the mixture in the sun for a few days. After maceration, we add sugar to the mixture and dilute it with water to get a tasty liqueur that goes down smoothly.
