Piranska salt with protected designation of origin, cloth bag, 250g

Piran salt, a noble product of the Sečovlje Saltworks Landscape Park, is the result of the restless wind, warm sun, and diligent salt workers. We produce it by hand, using traditional methods that are over 700 years old.

The basic process is natural crystallization in salt fields, protected by petola – a precious biosedimentary substrate composed of minerals and microorganisms. The salt with a protected designation of origin is light and of extraordinary taste, complemented by the mother water captured in the crystals.

The product is packaged in a cloth bag and is equipped with a label in Slovenian, Italian, English, German, French, and Russian.
