LLSTOL is the result of a collaboration between the Ljubljana Faculty of Architecture and the STOL&STOL factory from Kamnik. The chair was designed by student Luka Ločičnik under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Mag. Tadej Glažar. The project began as a short workshop on the topic of a useful chair for young people made of shaped plywood.

In August 2012, the project participants decided to test the chair's popularity on the American website kickstarter.com, which is designed to raise funds for the realization of various new ideas.

Within a month, they received a positive response from all over the world: Japan, Singapore, Australia, Europe and America, and achieved their goal. The chair is thus the first successful Slovenian design product on the aforementioned website.
