ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Zvezdana Mlakar (1960) studied drama and artistic words and acted in various Slovenian theaters and films. Since 1987, she has been a member of the Ljubljana Drama, and in addition to her work there, she often collaborates with other theaters; she played in the play 5žensk.com, which is considered the first play in Slovenia to exceed the magical threshold of 100,000 visitors. Her work on television brought her wider recognition. During her time hosting the talk show Zvezdana was nominated twice for the title "Slovenian Woman of the Year".

After six years of the late-night talk show Zvezdana, it was canceled, and the actress decided to write a book together with Rok Smolej, the long-time editor of her show, in which she recalls all the conversations that changed the Slovenian media landscape, and as the title suggests - Conversations that changed my life - also her own.
