Gluten-free delicacies
Many people face a chronic disease of the small intestine, which is a result of gluten sensitivity, known as celiac disease, requiring a strict gluten-free diet. Fortunately, strict adherence to the diet does not limit patients in preparing delicious dishes. From now on, you can also find preparation instructions in the new book, which includes recipes for various types of bread, pastries, desserts, snacks, main dishes, and side dishes. The gluten-free dishes, designed by the authors of the bilingual Slovene-English book in collaboration with IC Piramida Maribor, have been aesthetically captured through the lens of the renowned photographer Tomo Jeseničnik. The presented dishes contain only natural, gluten-free ingredients such as corn, quinoa, rice, buckwheat, and millet. An important part of the book's content is also a contribution from Dr. Jernej Dolinšek, who educates us about celiac disease, its signs and consequences, and raises our awareness that such diseases should not be overlooked or neglected.
