Samohodec - Jurij Hudolin

Samohodec is a very special book by Jurij Hudolin, who found inspiration for the protagonist Boban in the godfather of Slovenian punk, Igor Vidmar. He "brought over three hundred world-famous bands to Slovenia, started working in the seventies and has not finished yet; in the seventies he also started with his own media interventions and has not finished yet; he never spoke of himself or thought that he was an independent or connected to the country's brand in the music world," says Hudolin, who sees Vidmar as a great legend and even as an institution. The romanticized biography Samohodec is a striking witness to a pivotal and formative time, and in it legendary domestic and foreign bands such as Pankrti, Niet, Buldožer, Via Ofenziva, Otroci socialista, Kuzle, Lačni Franz, Ljubljana Dogs, Laibach, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Nick Cave, to name just a few, smash, crackle and saw. The multi-layered work is, as its author says, "a book for old and young, but especially for the wild at heart."
