A moving (auto)biography of a humanitarian who changed the lives of thousands of Slovene women and men

A touching, lively, inspiring (auto)biography that holds a mirror to the society we live in and reminds us what it means to be a Human. A human who loves until their last breath.

This is how Anita Ogulin lived

The book offers an invaluable insight into the stirring, sometimes almost cinematic life of a woman who became a symbol of solidarity and charity. Anita Ogulin initially began writing the book herself, and when illness no longer allowed her to continue, the acclaimed journalist Vasja Jager completed it according to her account. He carefully gathered her thoughts and, with the help of her children and husband, arranged them into this work.

Love for all who needed her

Anita Ogulin was a person with a capital letter. She was born into a modest family with a blind father and a visually impaired mother; life tested her from early childhood. Despite this, her heart remained full of love – not only for her children but for all who needed her. She helped countless young people who, because of her, received opportunities that life had denied them. For her work, she received numerous awards and honors, yet this great humanitarian and protector of children remained humble and devoted to her mission. She was buried with military honors in the presence of the president of the republic, the prime minister, and the mayor.
