Goodies from Dolenjska

'Dobrote Dolenjske is a collective brand that is being developed under the auspices of The Institute for Culinary Arts and Tourism Dobrote Dolenjske. '

The Goodies of Dolenjska have been created since 2014, when the idea of bringing together and connecting the best providers from this Slovenian region was born. Thus, the brand Goodies of Dolenjska was established, which today unites more than 73 different providers with over 450 high-quality, certified products from the area of the former historical region of Lower Carniola, which included Dolenjska as well as Bela Krajina.

The area to the north is bordered by the Sava River, to the south and southeast by the border with Croatia, and to the west the border runs all the way to the edge of Babno Polje, Loški Potok, the Bloke Plateau, and the Iška River.

"Certificate of Goodness of Dolenjska - EXCELLENCE FROM DOLENJSKA - ensures traceability and Dolenjska origin of the product to the consumer. A product that receives the certificate is also of high quality, as its quality and originality have been evaluated by a three-member expert committee. The committee evaluates products and services (and awards the Certificate of Goodness of Dolenjska to the best) from the following seven categories:"

1.     culinary products and produce,

2.     handicrafts,

3.     guided experiences,

4.     culinary events

5.     'drinks served in hospitality venues,'

6.     accommodation,

7.     Houses of Goodness of Dolenjska, where the overall offer is assessed (accommodation, catering offer, homemade products of the homestead).
